Pioneering Innovations in Vision Care

Throughout his career, Dr. Paul Kang has been nationally regarded as a leading cataract and refractive surgeon. He currently serves as a practicing faculty member at Yale Eye Center at Yale University and as a surgeon at Dello Russo Laser Vision. He has also worked closely with industry experts on the development, delivery, and integration of advanced technology to improve the visual outcomes for his patients. As a result, he was one of the first area doctors to perform all-laser LASIK and laser cataract surgery and to offer presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses. 

Academic Excellence and Professional Achievements

Dr. Kang graduated from Harvard University. He received his medical degree at Indiana University, where he also served as a delegate to the American Medical Association. Dr. Kang finished his ophthalmology residency at the Duke University Eye Center and completed a prestigious fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the John Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah.

Leadership in Ophthalmology and Surgical Innovation

Dr. Kang is a co-founder of the Vanguard Ophthalmology Society and a past president of the Washington DC Ophthalmology Society. The American Academy of Ophthalmology awarded him the State Affairs Star Award and selected him for their leadership development program.
